Food Service Supply Company PacknWood Selling Compostable Spoons Made of Bamboo Fiber and Cornstarch
Posted by Melanie Green on May 18th 2020
PacknWood is excited to offer new compostable spoons made from bamboo fiber and cornstarch PLA.
The extremely eco-friendly spoons are compostable, biodegradable, and sold in C02 neutral packaging. The spoons are 4.9 inches long and very durable, so the spoons are comfortable to use. The spoons are available in two colors, natural bamboo brown (SKU 210CVPL125BB) and black (SKU 210CVPL125).
Unlike some other single use spoons, these compostable spoons are heatproof. This makes the spoons ideal for using for warm soups and entrees that could potentially warp plastic or other materials. This can create a more enjoyable experience for diners.
“Finding eco-friendly cutlery options can be a challenge for many restaurants, grocery stores, and hotels,” says Adam Merran, Chief Executive Officer at PacknWood USA. “These spoons address these concerns. They’re even made from highly renewable materials, such as bamboo and corn.”
