PacknWood Adds Eco-Friendly Kraft Paper Bread Bags with PLA Windows to its Restaurant Supply Catalog
Posted by Melanie Green on May 27th 2020
PacknWood, an eco-friendly food service supply company, adds a new, in-demand product to its online catalog: Kraft Paper Bag with PLA Window for sandwiches, baguettes, and bread loaves.
The Kraft Paper Bag with PLA Window is made from Kraft paper and PLA made from cornstarch. The bags are biodegradable and industrially compostable. Corn and paper are renewable.
These Kraft bags are available in three different sizes:
- 12.6 inches (210SACKPLA32)
- 15.7 inches (210SACKPLA40)
- 22 inches (210SACKPLA56)
According to Adam Merran, Chief Executive Officer at PacknWood USA, “This new product is being offered because of the demand. It’s been difficult to find eco-friendly sandwich bags that customers can see through since typically windows are created from plastic that remains in landfills for hundreds of years. PLA is an awesome alternative, bringing the see-through functionality of plastic to a more eco-conscious product.”
